Abstract

This document aims to identify the elements that constitute the dimensions of traditional knowledge which contribute to the construction of a network of producers seeking to advance towards food sovereignty. To that end, the paper seeks to answer the question: What dimensions of traditional knowledge contribute to the formation of an agroecological solidarity network of a group of producers in Guerrero? The investigation is based on documentary research and fieldwork in seven communities in the Central and Mountain region of Guerrero. It was found that in the case of these localities there are three dimensions of the traditional knowledge (collaborative, identity and productive) that contribute to concretize the network of producers. The research is limited to review the case of certain locations, so they can´t be generalized, but they can serve as a reference in similar research. The main contribution of this work is to increase the information about the benefits of the traditional knowledge to human beings. In that regard, it is concluded that, within the multiple benefits of traditional knowledge, is to support the creation of networks of healthy food producers.
