All manuscripts submitted for review will be evaluated under a rigorous review process. The publication of a manuscript will depend on the approving revisions and the fulfillment of the comments that the reviewers indicate. Each designated reviewer must be an expert in the research area to which the manuscript belongs. Manuscript that has not taken into account the comments and recommendations of the reviewers cannot be accepted. Any rejection will be based on the same rigor as the approvals.

The authors of the rejected manuscripts have the possibility of presenting their manuscript to the "Revista del Centro de Investigación de la Universidad La Salle” through two additional instances. The manuscript submitted for a second or third instance will be assigned to different reviewers.

Editorial Process

Once the manuscript is sent successfully, the revision process will consist of two stages:

  • First stage: The editors are obliged to make a first reading of the manuscript, in order to verify if the manuscript covers or not with the editorial line of the journal, as well as the indications set forth in the Guidelines for Authors and Policies of the Magazine (ethical requirements, detection of plagiarism, declaration of funding sources, conflict of interest and availability of data). This first phase will be carried out in a period no longer than 30 days.
  • Second stage: in case of complying with the above, three specialists will be selected, who will determine in their evaluation:
    1. Accepted
    2. Accepted with minor changes
    3. Accepted with major changes
    4. Rejected

All comments from the reviewers will be sent to the author for its compliance.

The maximum lapse between the acceptance stage and the start of the peer review process is 90 days, the maximum period of peer review is 60 days, and the maximum period between the edition and the publication is 30 days.

Throughout the editorial process the anonymity of both arbitrators and authors will be preserved. Authors should ensure that their names do not appear in the submitted manuscript. In addition, no reference to the authors should be added in the first version of the manuscript. Any type of recognition to the author will be added in the latest version of the manuscript after the conclusion of the review process.

The reception of a manuscript does not imply any commitment of the "Revista del Centro de Investigación de la Universidad La Salle" for its publication.

Authors who received a Publication decision with major or minor changes will have a period of 30 days to send the revised version of their manuscript.
