Abstract
In this article, a bibliometric analysis was carried out on the characteristics and scientific production of the professors-researchers of the Autonomous University of Aguascalientes (UAA) who are part of the National System of Researchers (SNII). The results show the state of development of scientific capabilities and the characteristics of its researchers such as academic center, SNII level, sex and area of specialization. We observed that the Center for Basic Sciences contributes with the greatest number of researchers and scientific production, where 60% of the researchers are at level 1. The analysis considered the period 2018 to 2023, showing a growing academic plant, consistent with its demographic characteristics and their levels within the SNII, with a significant amount of their productivity in Q2 of SCImago, a dispersed h index with a range of 1 to 44 and with main themes: Computer Science, Materials Sciences, Pharmacology, and Mathematics.
