Immediately and traditionally, we think that talking about politics necessarily requires linking it to the idea of conflict. While it is true that the political character marks certain ways of inhabiting the world, it is also relevant to clarify that from the concept we have of politics we can realize if the idea of conflict is inherent to it or if politics can be thought from another viewpoint. Hans-Georg Gadamer offers us a series of hermeneutic reflections on language and dialogue, from there we try to glimpse a concept of politics not only inherent to conflict, but also to its core, which is prudent dialogue. Thinking about politics within the framework of a dialogic horizon allows us to shed light on specific problems that afflict us today, which challenge us to think and rethink them to understand why we have become what we are.
