Abstract

The concept of algorithmic capitalism describes the way 21st century societies work through a structural modulation of the existence of human beings based on data-algorithms, having a direct impact on democratic ideals, such as deliberation, disagreement and consensus. In this logic, algorithmic capitalism portrays a process of radical change expressed not only in the political, economic or cultural spheres of current societies, but in the intimate spaces of human beings such as feelings, desires, chores, emotions, ways of choosing and even ways of dreaming. Its purpose is to influence into these spaces to modify and lead them to horizons that can always be capitalized.
