Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

Author Guidelines

a) LOGOS. Revista de filosofía receives unpublished materials exclusively, and asserts that the conceptual responsibility is exclusively that of the authors.

b) The proposed materials must not be simultaneously submitted for review in another journal.

c) Papers are received in electronic support, in Windows Word, on the platform.

d) Texts should be submitted in the following format: Times New Roman 12 font, 1.5 spacing, with 2.5 cm. margins at the top and bottom, and 3 cm. margins at the left and right.

e) If illustrations or graphics are submitted, they must be in a separate file, correlated with the text.

f) The editorial office shall acknowledge receipt of the originals and shall notify within a period not exceeding 20 days the status of the text received.

g) The Editorial Committee will submit the articles received to a double-blind peer review and evaluation process. The Committee's decision will be final.

h) The sections of the journal (Articles, translations and reviews) will be permanently open. Texts considered for publication will be listed in order of precedence and the author will be notified in a timely manner of the issue in which they will be published.

i) Texts for the article section should be a minimum of 10 pages and a maximum of 25. They should also include an abstract in Spanish and an abstract in English, no longer than ten lines. As well as a list of five key words in Spanish and English.

j) The reviews should not exceed 5 pages and should focus on new editions, translations or books that have been published in the last three years and that contribute elements to current debates.

k) The title, the author's name and the name of the institution to which he/she belongs should be indicated at the beginning of the text.

l) Translation proposals should indicate the name of the author of the text and the translator. A letter of authorization from the author of the text or the publishing house that originally published it should also be included.

m) When a quotation is longer than five lines, it will be outside the text in Times New Roman 11 font, 1.0 spacing. If it is less than five lines, it will be inside the text between quotation marks. 

n) Advisory notes should be footnotes, numbered progressively.

o) In all cases, the system (APA) 6th edition will be used.

p) Classical texts may be cited according to the academic standards defined for each case (e.g. Metaphysics 6, 1071b2-1072a18 or Republic VII, 514a-541b).

q) The bibliography should be included at the end of the articles and should be arranged alphabetically. If more than one work by the same author is considered, it should be placed from the most recent to the oldest year.
