Strategies of survival, everyday life and impact of the networks of social support to unemployed older workers.
Main Article Content
Abstract
The biographies of workers older than 45 years old showed the impact the financial restructuring carried out in Argentina, from the decade of the nineties, had along their lives. The loss of employment modifies surviving strategies as well as the nets of family and social contention. We are focused on formal and informal mechanisms of social support available to our informants to resolve everyday issues within a crisis context. A qualitative methodological strategy of case studies was used combining deep interviews to key informants, life stories, and ethnographic observation.
