Abstract

The organization theory (OT) demands a renewed effort to provide a more consistent response to address the reality of organizations in this first quarter of century. The current theories do not offer a holistic view of the organization and do not contribute to a robust and updated response. Integrating the theories around a more unified body, modernizing the relevant theories and paradigms to the new currents of thought, and developing new theories, are some of the main challenges. Many of the organization theories have not been adequately updated or are unable to do so, in addition, many cannot satisfactorily reply to all key elements of an organization: entity, management (governance) and context. The reflections proposed in this document intend to provide a guideline to develop more original and more radical theories in the OT.
