La Economía Circular, Herramienta para la Sostenibilidad de la Industria en el Ecuador

Abstract

Our planet is being degraded as a result of human activity, we see as follows: agricultural systems
under stress, health problems caused by air, land and sea pollution, loss of biodiversity due to mass
extinction rates and increasing carbon dioxide emanation. The research aims to analyse a circular
economy model, as a competitiveness tool based on sustainability and framed in the Sustainable
Development Goals, with the common aim of protecting humanity and our planet. The environmental
problem is raised from the perspective of the Ecuadorian industry. To support the research, a survey
is carried out to 20 managers of exporting companies in the processed food sector, the research has
a qualitative approach, an inductive method is used, with an exploratory and descriptive scope.
