Considerations for the development of research capacities in private universities

Abstract

Considerations and strategies that should contribute to forming research capacities in private universities with young scientists committed with the advancement of knowledge and with their natural and social environment are presented. A combination of classroom and experiential formation is proposed to develop research abilities. The basic capacity building axes in the curricula are examined, in order to provide the basic needs for researcher formation. In addition to this, we propose the enhancement of research abilities through scientific practice in an active research group in laboratories or other research scenarios to get hands on experience in real life research situations.
