El migrante ambiental en el contexto de los estudios de seguridad. Niveles de (in) seguridad y vulnerabilidad
Main Article Content
Abstract
Perceiving environmental migration from the perspective of national security undermines the dignity and security of the environmental migrant, since he/she is in a scenario of vulnerability different from the rest of the forced migrants. Therefore, from a qualitative methodology through the deductive method and Bauer's system of social indicators to measure situations of social vulnerability, it is argued that the environmental migrant is in a particular vulnerability scenario, by confronting concepts/indicators such as (in) security, threat and risk. Thus, it is concluded that through the norm and/or policy that regulates a phenomenon considered as a threat (environmental migration), it is possible to reach adverse scenarios that cause greater insecurity for migrants, which is why it is necessary to retake the bases of human security.
