Abstract
The churches and Christian communities configuration for sexual and gender diversity is one of the expressions which builds the underground passage to the legitimacy search for sexual and gender diversity. This paper examines how the presence of these churches and Christian communities is inserted into a movement that seeks the recognition of sexual and gender diversity within the Christian religious field. It presents an overview of how in Mexico, and specifically in Guadalajara city, these churches and communities are placed as resistance spaces to the heterosexual morality that prevails in the Christian religious field. It also examines how this continues search for recognition is intersected with modern society’s secularization and laicity.
